The State Project Director, Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA), AP, Hyderabad in her letter 1st read above has submitted that there is a provision under SSA Program for sanction of regular Teacher posts for
newly opened Primary and Upper Primary Schools and additional teacher posts in the existing schools to
maintain Teacher-Pupil Ratio (TPR) as per the norms of prescribed from time to time. Accordingly, 38,319 teacher posts have been sanctioned since 2001-02 to 2011-12 under SSA. As per the norms of SSA, State
Government has to recruit teachers by sanctioning new posts to the existing cadre strength. Out of 38,319
teacher posts, Government have sanctioned and recruited only 27402 teachers vide G.O.Ms.No.50 Edn dated 15.05.2002 and G.O.Ms.No.363 Fin dt:10.11.2008. Hence there is a balance of 10,917 posts to be sanctioned and recruited by State Government. The SPD has therefore requested the Government to take necessary action to sanction and recruitment of 10,917 teacher posts available under SSA.
2. The Commissioner & Director of School Education, AP, Hyderabad in his letter 2nd read above has reported that Government permitted recruitment of 12,772 SGTs, 2074 Language Pandits and 6077 School
Assistants through District Selection Committees, 2012 (DSC-2012) as per details given below.
