Government of Kerala, Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has approved about 700 new Plus Two Batches for the academic year 2014-2015. The DHSE has published the guidelines for Plus One admissions for the new batches in the Higher Secondary Schools for the academic year 2014-2015. 15 schools have been sanctioned for up-gradation in Thiruvananthapuram where No Higher Secondary School in Panchayat. 12 schools sanctioned for Kollam District, 17 schools sanctioned in Pathanamthitta district, 18 schools sanctioned in Alappuzha district, 14 schools are sanctioned for Kottayam District, 11 schools are sanctioned for Idukki district, 25 schools sanctioned for Ernakulam district, 5 schools sanctioned for Thrissur district and Palakkad district each, 1 school in Malappuram, Wayanad and Kasargode districts. Kozhikkode district gets 2 schools and Kannur district sanctioned 3 schools for up gradation.

Malayalam will be the 2nd language in all these schools. The director of higher education, Kerala has also published the list of high schools for upgradation for all the districts and also published the list of school wise additional batches sanctioned.
