AP MLC Elections Notification, Schedule is released. AP MLC Elections will be conducted for 11 Local Authorities Constituencies of Anantapur, Krishna, East Godavari, Guntur, Vizianagaram, Chittoor, Visakhapatnam, Prakasam.

ECI has released AP MLC Elections 2015 Schedule today. AP MLC Elections will be held on the 3rd July 2015 from 8am to 4pm. AP MLC Elections Counting of votes will be taken place on the 7th July 2015. The following is the detailed elections schedule.

• AP MLC Elections Notification: 9th June 2015
• Last date for filing Nominations: 16.06.2015
• Scrutiny of Nominations: 17.06.2015
• Withdrawal of Nominations: 19.06.2015
• MLC Election Date: 3rd July 2015, Hours of Poll: 8am to 4pm
• Counting of Votes: 07.07.2015
• Date before election should be completed

The term of office of 7 members of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council elected by the members of Local Authorities Constituencies has expired in the year 2013 and 2015. Details are as follows

Biennial Elections to fill up 8 seats in the year 2013 could not be conducted as constituent Local Bodies/Electors were not in existence at that time. Subsequently the stare of Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated into two states namely Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by Andhra Pradesh reorganization act 2014 and there were inconsistencies in the Act, regarding the number of seats in respect of local authorities constituencies allocated to Andhra Pradesh viz as per section 23 of Andhra Pradesh reorganization act 2014.
